Need 500GB-1TB Storage Space

I need to find a place where I can backup 500+GB of files. This is not a web host - most web hosts will not allow you to "archive" files unless they are accessible online. The site needs to be secure, support FTP and have robust bandwidth (ex: if I need to use FTP to download some of the archived files, this will be a heavy bandwidth hit). It also needs to be simple to use because a few of the people accessing the files are not tech literate. I need to be able to set up a separate ftp log in for these users - preferably more than one. I do not want to use a proprietary app to download and upload files because users will be using different platforms
Last, I need this to be a site that will not blink at me storing fan related audio, video or document files. And one that is not run by one or two people - this needs to be reliable for the next 5 years.
Cost: I can afford up to $10 per month. I have a box.com account, but I am still uncomfortable storing fan related files in these amounts there. Plus, they charge $45 a month for their 500+GB accounts.

You do not have to have Dropbox to use that link. To me, that's the advantage over using FTP - it's simply a link like any other URL that people can click on, which is nice if you're not techie-minded. That said, that option doesn't come with the free, 2MB plan but only with the Pro, $8.25/month, 1TB plan.

Date: 2016-05-23 05:49 am (UTC)For me, uploads of larger files (bigger than 2GB) or bulk uploads of thousands of files work best with FTP. Many storage services have software you can use to bulk upload but they are not always functional and often cause system crashes. Some of them are also annoying because they force you to sync folders. There is workaround for unsyncing dropbox folders but it can be a pain when you are dealing with 500GB of files. https://www.dropboxforum.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/202317059-I-don-t-want-to-sync
